Gay Pride Maspalomas
Gay Pride Maspalomas is a week-long celebration in the sun, with pool parties, a parade, lots of dancing and... well, more pool parties!
The Yumbo may be a concrete jungle of a shopping centre, but the gays still flock to Gran Canaria's sunny shores year after year for some action... and Pride is the perfect excuse to make the trip.
The parade regularly attracts crowds of around 50,000+, and is, by most people's standards, a relaxed affair - with people joining in as the floats move along the streets of Maspalomas. The week running up to the parade usually sees a main stage with decent headline acts, as well as the annual influx of gays to make sure there's plenty of eye candy!
