Madrid Pride is huge. It's really, really big. You will never have seen crowds like those that pour onto the streets for the parade. According to official statistics the event is regularly attended by over 1.5 million people, with over 300,000 people attending the street parties around Chueca. And this, from first hand experience, doesn't seem like an exaggeration...

With relatively cheap Easyjet flights to Madrid, and not overpriced hotels (even given the fluctuating Euro) it doesn't have to be a hugely expensive trip - although you'll want plenty of money for party tickets once there.

Infinitagay is the big one - offering parties in the run up to Pride weekend, as well as a huge arena party. You'll obviously also find Supermartxe doing its thing, as well as Space and other big clubbing brands.

And when you've run out of steam for the parties there's the outdoor public pool... which must be seen to be believed.
