Oceana is, without doubt, a seriously good venue for Student Pride. The main debates, interspersed with comedy and music, were in the stunning Icehouse room and there was live music throughout the day in the Women's Room - but there was plenty more to keep everyone amused.

Katie (our goosepimpled human statue) braved the winter and welcomed everyone at the doors, volunteers stewards handed out goodie bags and lanyards, there was food (albeit after a bit of a wait!), film screenings from Shelter and the Itty Bitty Titty Committee, plenty of comfy areas to sit and relax, facepainting, and the mayor even found her way onto the funky dancefloor in the New York disco - which is also where businesses and organisations had set up their stalls.
